SOCIAL MEDIA INTERN NEEDED FOR SHORT FILM PROJECT
CROSSING THE RIVER, a short film shot on location in rural South Carolina that tackles issues of racial tolerance, is currently seeking a social media intern to assist with all aspects of our outreach ad publicity campaign about the film and the racial justice issues portrayed in the story. This is an unpaid internship position, but will be an opportunity to create and carry out a social media strategy for an ambitious project that is headed for major festivals. Additionally, the film raises awareness of modern-day cross burnings that still occur every year across the U.S. and Canada and provides an opportunity to make a difference by being involved with a project tackling issues of civil rights and social justice.
We are looking to fill this position immediately. Please send a resume, two references, and links to your work to writer/director Emilie McDonald and producer Tammy Arnstein at crossingtheriver2011@gmail.com by Monday, June 4.
